Hello, I am Erik

I’m a Technical Game Designer based in Stockholm, focused on combat, pacing and the relationship between player abilities and the spaces they move through. I enjoy creating systems and interactions that reinforce the intended player experience and lead to memorable, readable challenges.

I approach design analytically and collaboratively. Over the years, I’ve worked across many areas of development to understand how art, animation, gameplay systems and level layout all contribute to how an encounter feels to play. This broader understanding helps me create cohesive experiences where the mechanics and the environment support each other.

I’m always exploring ideas and prototypes in my personal time, testing new mechanics, workflows or encounter patterns to refine my craft and bring what I learn back into my professional work.

I enjoy a wide range of games, from high-intensity competitive titles to slower, atmospheric experiences, but I’m especially drawn to co-operative play, where communication and shared problem solving shape the experience.
